So I was recently in Miami and let me tell you I almost went nuts without facebook or myspace or AIM or basically the internet. It's sad that in today's society people are so relient on technology. I was going crazy not knowing what messages or pokes i got or if I had new friend requests. I shouldn't be anxious to know what's going on on the internet but it was horrible not being able to check those things.

When Thom first assigned this I must admit, I hated the idea. I'm still not too sure if I like the idea of people reading about what I think and feel. Granted, this blog isn't exactly about my life, I have blogged before. I didn't admit it in class because I don't like people knowing. I used to post blogs on myspace about what was going on in my day to day life. I also used to use Live Journal. Yeah, it was enjoyable when I was in middle school and in early high school to see what others were writing and to express myself. However, over time I've become more guarded with what I think and feel and I don't exactly want the whole net knowing it. I think blogging is a good way to get things out there but I think it can also be damaging. I was reading Cosmo and this woman who used to blog about the fashion world( where she worked). Her blog ruined her life and cost her her current job and a job that she had just received. There comes a point when people need to learn when to not say something. If you reveal too much you are in danger of ruining your life or possibly others. By doing this for class I have really thought about what it would be like to have my everyday life posted about online and frankly I don't like it!

American Idol

This season I have been addicted to American Idol. I absolutely LOVE Katherine, Chris, and Taylor. They are amazing. I like how the public can interact with the show and choose who they want to be the next American Idol. I think in the future all t.v. shows, or at least most of them will be audience interactive.

Facebook has become RIDICULOUS

Ok, so I know that I complain about facebook all the time but it really is getting out of hand. Now, instead of having the list of all different schools they have all profiles in one thing. That's so inconvient. What if I don't know someones name but i know what school they go to? Now I have to search through all of my friends. No one wants to take the time to do that. I'm just getting really bored with facebook. If they keep changing stuff about it I really might delete the whole account because it's become too much of a hassle.

Ok, so facebook has gotten absolutely ridiculous. Now they have these away message things. Who really wants to take the time to update it all the time? I personally think it's a stalker friendly thing. When you have those up people that you don't want knowing what you're doing will know. It's just an annoying little tool that they have.

Earlier I wrote about how obsessed I am with Facebook. Now, I've found that I'm very VERY into Myspace. Even though it's similar to facebook it is fun to decorate your page. I don't know how many times I've neglected my homework to put on new pictures or new cute little icons. I like it because all of the people that aren't on facebook are normally on myspace. The only part i HATE about myspace is all the creepy men on it. I don't find it amusing to have 40 year old men try to talk to me.

IT's the first thing I check when I wake up, the last thing I check before I go to bed and then then I check oh about 100 times throughout the day. (That's probably an exaggeration but it feels like the truth). Facebook is the biggest craze with college students. It's always a good feeling when you're poked by a random attractive guy, or when you get a message from someone in your class that you're intersted in. I know that on the weekend it's probably my favorite thing. It's so much fun to upload your pictures from the night before so that everyone can see how much fun you and your friends are having. It's also a huge problem too. I know that when I should be writing my paper or studying I'll be sitting at my computer looking at pictures.
